Who We Serve

Low-income senior citizens & the homeless.  Most of these people are sharing their food with their pets.
 
Many will feed their pets before themselves.

Our mission is to provide food for their pets while helping keep food on the table for them.

As an animal rescuer and pet parent, I can’t image a day when I don’t share my life and my home with animals. I can’t image having to choose between feeding myself or feeding my pets. I personally would make the same choice that many of those we hope to serve choose to make – to feed them from my own plate.  For many senior citizens and those who are homeless, their pet may be their only friend. Pets offer companionship, unconditional love, joy, comfort, friendship, and acceptance--someone they can talk to without judgment. They are vital to a person’s well being.  Can you imagine your mom, grandmother or favorite aunt digging through a trash can to find food for their beloved pet? Can you image them choosing to going hungry - taking food from their own plate - so their pet can eat?
